The new Campus Safety Facility will support both the campus and the surrounding neighborhoods to enhance and improve the safety and security of the 10th Street and Hemphill area.
Construction Details:
Start Date: 2/1/2018
End Date: 1/1/2019
Project features include:
- A new, larger facility for GTPD
- Designed to meet WELL Building standards
Campus Detours or Interruptions:
- Sidewalks closed on Hemphill Ave March 5th - 19th
- Surrounding area will experience increased construction truck traffic
Summary
Construction of a new GT Police Headquarters has begun. The project will add both a strong GTPD presence to the area as well as define the north west edge of campus.
