Join us when Gordon Draves, Sierra Club Outings Leader, presents "My Wonderful Adventure: Bicycling on the Great Allegheny Passage Trail in Maryland and Pennsylvania." 

The 150-mile, rails-to-trails Great Allegheny Passage soars over valleys, snakes around mountains, and skirts alongside three rivers. The trail begins in Cumberland, MD, and ends in Pittsburgh, PA. 

Gordon will describe how he prepared for the bicycle ride, what motivated him to do a long-distance trail, and show photos of the many interesting sites located throughout this historical area.  

Program starts promptly at 7:30. Serving breakfast and coffee.

The Healthy Places Research Group (HPRG), formed in 2003, is a collaborative effort of individuals interested in exploring the relationship between health and the built environment.

Join us monthly from September to May to discuss issues, exchange information, and hear presentations pertaining to health policy, impacts, and the built environment. Meetings are open to the public.

The next meeting will discuss the impact of truck traffic on small town air quality and health.
