Primary tabs

The Office of Health & Well-Being has a number of new offerings for your student this spring semester!

- Well-Being Activators: Well-Being Activators are champions and ambassadors charged with enhancing a culture of health, well-being, and caring at Georgia Tech. They are the first to know about the latest health and well-being happenings on campus and have access to information, tools, and resources to help them and their colleagues lead a healthier lifestyle. Being an activator will also help your student gain relevant skills and grow their peer, professional, and cross-campus network. Students can find out more information and apply to become Activator at healthinitiatives.gatech.edu/WBA. The deadline to apply is January 17!

- Adulting Series: This four-part series helps your student nurture essential life skills. The four sessions will cover topics including saving for spring break; healthy cooking; personal, family and community purpose; and building professional relationships. Students can find out more information and register at healthinitiatitves.gatech.edu/adulting.

- Foundations of Finance Course: A five-week series that empowers college students to save, budget, avoid debt, and spend wisely. Students will learn the skills to start practicing sound financial habits now that will set them up for success in the future. Students can find out more information and register at healthinitiatitves.gatech.edu/finance.

- Lifeguard Certification Course: Does your student want to work at the Campus Recreation Center (CRC)? By becoming a certified lifeguard, they will be eligible to work at the CRC’s McAuley Aquatic Center. The course takes place January 25 through 28 and costs $50. The cost of the course may be reimbursed after employment. Students can find out more information and register at crc.gatech.edu/lifeguard-certification.

It is also cold and flu season! If your student has not already received their flu shot, additional flu shot clinics will take place on January 17 and 24 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the second floor of Stamps Health Services. Your student can also make an appointment at Stamps Health Services to get their flu shot. To schedule an appointment, your student can use our online portal: health.gatech.edu/appointments.
