Rethinking Renewables in the Peach State

Valerie Thomas, Anderson Interface Associate Professor of Natural Systems in the H. Milton Stewart School of Industrial and Systems Engineering,is featured in the article, "Rethinking Renewables in the Peach State," in the June/July 2010 Issue of Georgia Engineer. Thomas and other featured Georgia Tech researchers  discuss the practicality of a number of renewable options they are investigating, including biomass, solar, wind, and tidal energies. According to Thomas, getting 20 to 30 percent of Georgia's energy needs from biomass is feasible.  >> Read more.
