LMC Professor and Chair Richard Utz recently published a revised version of the plenary he presented at the annual meeting of English-speaking professors of English, the Anglistentag, at the University of Hamburg, Germany. "The Return of Medievalism and the Future of Medieval Studies" is part of the proceedings, Anglistentag 2016: Hamburg, edited by Ute Berns and Jolene Mathieson, and published by Wissenschaftlicher Verlag Trier, Germany.

The article encourages professional medievalists to reconnect with general audiences and to seek engagement with lovers of the Middle Ages beyond the walls of the ivory tower.
