How To Succeed as a F-1 Student

Success at GA Tech is more than getting straight As. In order to succeed while studying in the U.S, F-1 students need to comply with numerous immigration regulations. Violation of these regulations could greatly impact a student’s ability to succeed academically. All F-1 students are required attend one of these sessions which will be offered several times during the week prior to the start of classes and the first week of classes. Students in attendance will learn about enrollment requirements, travel issues, working in the U.S (on and off-campus) and other relevant F-1 topics. For attendance purposes, students will be asked to present their GT identification card (Buzzcard) at the session.
