Screening of Plastic China
Primary tabs
We would like to invite you to The Global Media Fest: Sustainability Across Languages and Cultures, a wonderful opportunity to view documentaries and exchange ideas with international filmmakers and scholars who discuss sustainability issues around the globe.
Our program for this year consists of 4 screenings featuring documentaries from Germany, China, Mexico, and France. After each screening, we will have a panel discussion with the filmmakers followed by dinner. Come with your friends and learn more about the role of media in shaping ideas and debates associated with sustainability and global challenges.
Wednesday, March 29, 2017, Clary Theater (Bill Moore Success Center), from 4:30-7:00pm: Screening of Plastic China (China, 2016), followed by Conversation, Dinner and Panel Discussion with filmmaker Jiu-liang Wang.
Plastic China follows the members of a family who spend their lives sorting and recycling plastic waste from the United States, Europe, and Asia.
