SPP Speaker Series, Cassidy Puckett: Technological Change, Learning, and Inequality

On March 9, 2017 at 3pm we will welcome Dr. Cassidy Puckett to campus to discuss her some of her recent research on technology, education, and inequality. Details are below:

Dr. Puckett is an Assistant Professor in the Sociology Department at Emory University. She studies the relationship between technological change, education, and various forms of social inequality. More specifically, she looks at how differences in adolescents’ “digital adaptability” influences educational, occupational, and health outcomes. She joined the sociology faculty at Emory in 2016 after completing an NSF postdoctoral fellowship at the Tufts University Center for Engineering Education and Outreach. Dr. Puckett received her PhD in Sociology from Northwestern University.
