Help Select the Next Director of Health Behavior at Georgia Tech
Primary tabs
The Office of Health & Well-Being is interviewing candidates for the new position of director of health behavior, and is looking for input from the Georgia Tech community. This position, along with our current Health Promotion team, will comprise the newly formed Health Initiatives, which is part of the newly created Georgia Tech Health and Well-Being.
Join the Health & Well-Being team for an open presentation from the three candidates covering the topic of an upstream approach to "Smart & Happy". The candidates will focus on a collaborative approach to purpose, resilience and kindness, as it relates to Health and Well-Being. Each presentation will culminate with a survey, so you can provide the hiring committee staff with your input on the candidates.
The director of health behavior will be a leader in advancing the Health & Well-Being vision and mission by working collaboratively with a variety of interdisciplinary campus stakeholders to coordinate the development and implantation of key programs and initiatives related to student, staff, and faculty emotional and spiritual well-being. The director of health behavior will develop, coordinate and streamline student and employee emotional and spiritual health programs, campaigns and resources on topics such as stress management, normalizing early intervention, stigma reduction, sexual violence prevention and advocacy, drug and alcohol misuse, suicide prevention; and leading the focus to more flourishing topics of resilience, respect, happiness and mindfulness.
Working collaboratively with many campus partners, Georgia Tech Health & Well-Being’s vision is that our Georgia Tech students and employees will flourish and be fulfilled individual, and within our communities where we live, learn, work and play. The Office of Health & Well-Being is comprised of Health Initiatives, the Campus Recreation Complex, and Stamps Health Services.
