Taxes 101 for Graduate Students

Primary tabs

We know money is tight for graduate students, and it may not feel like you made any money at all in 2016, but if you had any income (fellowships, scholarships, GRA, GTA, etc.) you need to file your income taxes!  Doug Podoll from Tech’s Global Human Resources office is the tax guru on campus to help run you through the dos and don’ts of filing your taxes.  Are you a resident or non-resident international student?  Are you a U.S. citizen? This workshop is for you.  Bring your lunch for this brown-bag session, and we’ll provide some drinks and snacks.

If you are interested in networking with campus departments that provide other services for graduate students, they’ll be speaking with students before (10:30am-11:00am) and after the event (12:00pm-1:00pm).  Come and meet the dedicated staff from around campus that work to help make your student experience a positive one.

When: February 7th, 2017
Time: Networking 10:30am – 11:00am, Taxes 11:00am – 12:00pm, Networking 12:00pm – 1:00pm
Where: Student Center Ballroom (3rd Floor)
