Understanding Academic Honesty at Georgia Tech

Primary tabs

Whether you're an undergraduate, masters, or doctoral student, understanding how to avoid plagiarism is key to your academic success and your future career. Plagiarism, the act of taking another person's work or ideas and using them as your own, either intentionally or accidentally, is a violation of the university honor code and can have serious consequences, including failing a class or being expelled from the university. Even though academic standards vary from country to country, all Georgia Tech students are responsible for understanding what constitutes plagiarism in the U.S. context, and how to avoid it. Attend this workshop to learn how to identify and avoid plagiarism in the U.S.
