An Evening with Natasha Tsakos
Enjoy a dessert and coffee reception and a behind-the-scenes look at the work of resident art and technology innovator Natasha Tsakos, creator of Billion Billions, premiering at Arts@Tech in 2017. As part of this audience, you will participate on the front end of the design process of Billion Billions, an immersive theatrical experience that bridges big data, science, and community engagement for good.Tsakos takes us into the creative development of this new show, devising new ways for audience participation to enable positive impact in the world. Known for pioneering ways of integrating technology with live performance, Natasha Tsakos is a conceptual director, interactive designer, idea generator, performer and the founder of NTiD, inc. She has produced and created nine multimedia shows, 10 short independent and commercial short films, written 12 works including a cartoon for Nickelodeon, and is the published author of two books.
Natasha inaugurated the grand opening of the Adrienne Arsht Center with her show “Up Wake,” opened the G20 Summit with her show “Climax,” created two productions for the Discovery Channel, and performed at the Super Bowl with Cirque du Soleil. She has spoken at the United Nations, TED conference, SIME Stockholm, IBM Summit, Ciudad de Las Ideas, amongst others, and was a finalist for the World Technology Awards 2013 presented in association with CNN, Time and Fortune Magazine. She was awarded a Google grant to attend Singularity University Graduate Studies Program 2015 at NASA Ames Research Park in Silicon Valley, which focuses on accelerating technologies to address humanity's greatest challenges.
