Please join us as Assistant Professor Alberto Fuentes speaks on “The Runner or the Course? Capacity Endowments and Paradigm Alternations in the Domestic Technological Development of Brazil and Mexico” as part of the 2016-17 College of Design Research Forum.

The talk will employ a comparison of the historical experience of four large-scale industries – the Mexican and Brazilian auto and oil industries – to evaluate some of the main factors shaping firm-level learning and acquisition of knowledge-based assets between the 1970s and the 2000s.

The research forums are a place for the College of Design community and our friends across the campus to experience the design- and technology-focused research at Georgia Tech.

From music technology to product design; from assistive technology to healthcare; from architecture to city planning, we explore the many ways technology can solve critical problems for the way we live.
