Prof. Besedeš Presents Research in Europe

Between September 9 and 11 associate professor Tibor Besedeš participated in the European Trade Study Group Conference, the largest annual gathering of trade economists in the world. The conference took place in Helsinki, Finland. Prof. Besedeš presented his paper “Phase out Tariff, Phase in Trade?” which looks at whether different speeds in reductions of tariffs that took place after NAFTA have a differential impact on the growth of U.S. imports from NAFTA trading partners.
