Sarah Higinbotham, a Brittain Fellow in Georgia Tech's Writing and Communication Program, joins the distinguished Leadership Atlanta program as part of their 2017 class. For 47 years, Leadership Atlanta brings together people in education, law, medicine, criminal justice, religion, nonprofits, and the corporate sector to address Atlanta's challenges.

Sarah's sustained advocacy for prison education links her to the program's mission of "building a better community for everyone." For over eight years, Sarah has facilitated college classes in a men's prison, accruing over 1,000 hours of teaching literature and writing to incarcerated men. She co-directs the nonprofit Common Good Atlanta.
