SPEAKERS: 

Eli Fine, Ph.D. 

Company: Coyne Scientific

Title: Director of Genomic Science

Bio: Dr. Fine applies genetic engineering and analysis tools to advance human health through developing gene and cell therapies, creating cellular models for in vitro drug screening and discovery, and building model genetic systems to better understand disease biology.  In addition, Dr. Fine works as an independent consultant, where he assists clients from academic institutions to life science companies ranging from start-ups to Fortune 500, with tasks from experimental design to patent filings.  

 

 

Carolyn Sargent, Ph.D.

Company: Halyard Health

Title: Senior Scientist, Advanced Research & Technology Development

Bio: While at Georgia Tech, Dr. Sargent worked in the Engineering Stem Cell Technologies Laboratory.  Since then, Dr. Sargent has worked at Kimberly-Clark and Halyard Health in various roles.  At Kimberly-Clark, she was first a Project Scientist in Corporate Research Engineering and later a Technology Scout in Front-End Innovation.  Currently at Halyard Health, she leads a cross-functional team to develop a Platform Strategy for a new business unit.
