William F. Banholzer, Corporate Vice President and Chief Technology Officer of The Dow Chemical Company, presents a special lecture on "Personal Experience in the Application of Chemical Engineering and Selected Research Topics at Dow"

Abstract:
This talk will survey the speaker's personal experience in applying chemical engineering principles to a variety of non traditional fields. Specific topics to be discussed include: development of radar absorbing materials, synthesis of diamond, including the variation of material property as a function of isotopic composition. The second portion of the talk will focus on selected areas of research being conducted by The Dow Chemical Company including: alternative feed stocks, new plastics and agricultural products.
