Bio
Tim Purdy has been teaching in the Industrial Design Program at Georgia Tech for more than 16 years. He has worked to help students apply technology to the design process by understanding the most effective way to use technology for research, ideation and presentation while respecting the traditional methods. This year, Tim is teaching the Intro to 2D & 3D, Modeling & Rendering with Alias Studio, Advance Modeling Concept and Advance Rendering Techniques courses.
Tim’s experience is not limited to teaching but includes more than 20 years working in the corporate environment for a Fortune 100 company, at the University level doing cutting edge research and now as the president of his own design service company. He draws on this extensive knowledge to help find unique and innovative solutions on a wide range of projects. This knowledge includes Director and Flash programming, computer rendering and modeling, and animation for architectural, educational and marketing videos.
