Reduced Stinger, Trolley Schedules Begin May 10

Primary tabs

Starting Monday, May 10, the Georgia Tech Department of Parking and Transportation will implement a reduced transit schedule for the Tech Trolley and the Red and Blue Stingers.

Tech Trolleys and Stingers will run on their normal schedules; wait times will be increased between each stop due to fewer buses on each route.

Tech Trolleys: Approximately every 10 minutes

Red Stinger: Approximately every 20 minutes

Blue Stinger: Approximately every 20 minutes

Green Stinger: Approximately every 20 minutes (no change in current schedule)

Grocery Shuttle

  • The grocery shuttle will run using its normal route and schedule, which can be found on the Parking and Transportation website.

Emory Shuttle

  • The Emory Shuttle will run through May 7 and will not run during summer semester. The shuttle will resume normal operation on August 23.

Stingerette

  • The Stingerette will be available for rides between 6 p.m. and 7 a.m. each night. Call 5-RIDE (404-385-7433) or visit www.stingerette.com to schedule a ride.

Parking
Normal parking regulations will be in effect during the summer. Patrons should please be sure that parking permits are displayed properly to avoid citations or towing. Those leaving their car on campus for the summer should call 404-385-PARK to find alternate parking.

Online Parking Permit Registration
Online parking permit registration is available at www.parking.gatech.edu (My Online Parking Account) until June 30. All students and employees must register, even those who do not want to change parking locations for the 2010-2011 academic year. Registration is available for the following permit types: Regular, Evening/Weekend, SmartPark, Motorcycle or Carpool. Those who do not register before June 30 are not likely to receive their preferred parking locations.
