First Finalist Announced for Provost and Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs

College of Management Dean and chair of the Georgia Tech Provost and Executive Vice President search committee Steve Salbu has named the first finalist candidate who will visit campus in the coming weeks.

Professor Gary May, chair of the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering, will discuss his vision for Georgia Tech during campus visits on May 4 and 5.

A public presentation is scheduled for Tuesday, May 4, at 11 a.m. in room 236 of the Global Learning and Conference Center. Faculty and staff are invited to stay for an informal presentation following the presentation. [Faculty and staff in Savannah may participate via videoconference in EDRB 244; faculty and staff in Metz may participate via videoconference in room 113.]

Other finalists will be announced as the dates and times are finalized for those visits.

The provost and executive vice president for academic affairs reports directly to the president and is charged with the formulation, direction and oversight of all academic units including the colleges, the library, and professional education.
