Poll Everywhere is a web-based system that can be used both in and outside of the classroom to create multiple-choice or open-answer polls. Students do not need a separate dedicated device (clicker) to participate.  Students can submit responses via text message or using a browser on their laptop or another Internet-connected device.  Instructors use a simple web form to create either multiple-choice or open-text questions. Polls can be embedded in PowerPoint or Keynote presentations, displayed in a web browser, or embedded in a course web site.  GTPE owns a number of licenses.
Presented by Dr. Shabana Figueroa, Sr. Instructional Designer

Kaltura is a cloud-based video storage, management, and delivery service that plugs in seamlessly to a wide variety of learning management systems.  Videos on this platform can get automatically captioned through the platform tools or can be submitted for a third party service.  GTPE purchased a site license and is implementing it across the Institute, responding to the video management needs of several units.
Presented by Kirsten Potts, Instructional Media Services Manager

Capture Space is a screen capture utility similar to programs such as Tegrity and  Camtasia. You can capture your computer screen content and make recordings that can be a combination of audio only, audio + video, audio + video + screen content, or Power Point presentation with audio and video. CaptureSpace is a product built into Kaltura Mediaspace and recordings can be seamless uploaded into the users MediaSpace account once done. CaptureSpace video can be viewed on both desktop and mobile devices.

Presented by Christopher Williams, Media Producer

PopIn provides a platform that improves an organization’s business outcomes through the collaborative engagement of its employees, partners, and clients. Through this engagement, it democratizes the decision making progress. It is a great tool for strategic planning, priority settting, and engaging constituents. GTPE has a pilot program with limited licenses.
Presented by Gautam Saha, Instructional Designer

LookAt is a collaborative cloud tool that allows creative teams to share and discuss work in progress in an efficient manner. GTPE produces creative materials across several platforms. LookAt aids in our cross-team collaboration by keeping each participant up to date at every stage of creation.
