Stronger Together: Reflecting on Orlando

Primary tabs

The anti-LGBTQIA attack at the Pulse Nightclub in Orlando this weekend has left many with feelings of grief, anger, and confusion. In times of mourning and tragedy, it can be helpful to come together as a community to draw strength from each other.

Join the LGBTQIA Resource Center, Counseling Center, and Office of Student Diversity Programs as we come together for collective reflection, discussion, and healing. This will be a space for folks to share their responses to the tragedy, find strength from our community, and show solidarity to our LGBTQIA family.

Staff from the Counseling Center and friends from campus ministries will be on hand to provide support to anyone who needs it.

Feel free to bring your lunch.

If you need support today, Kat Folk, the Episcopal Campus Missioner from Grace House, will be available in the atrium of the flag building to meet with anyone who would like to talk and process feelings of grief and loss. As always, our friends in the Counseling Center are on hand to talk with any students who need someone to talk to at this difficult time for our community.
