The Georgia Tech Housing Department is excited about the arrival of our new residents this fall. We know that parents have many questions about this move, and we want to provide some of the answers. The Information for Parents page on our website is a good place to begin.
In July detailed move in instructions will be posted on our website which will give you important dates, times, locations, and directions. New freshmen may move in on August 18, and all other residents move in August 20. When students are packing, they (and their parents) should use our Items to Bring page for suggestions.
After the first week of July, residents should be able to view their room assignment and roommate(s) information in the online application. If a room change is desired, he/she can do this using the Room Swap tab in the application. It is best if all room changes are completed online prior to checking out the room key. If your student has not applied for housing, but would like to do so, the application is still open.
