Student Assistant Needed for Digital Humanities Project

Dr. Laura Bier is seeking an undergraduate assistant for her summer class, HTS 2041 History of the Modern Middle East, to help with preparations for the students’ final project, which will be a digital timeline of the Syrian civil war and refugee crisis. Responsibilities include photocopying, research, data management and compilation, and helping students with their projects in class and during office hours.

Requirements:

  1. Available between June 13 and July 28 with most of the work taking place between July 14 and July 28
  2. Available 2-3 days/ week between 1:20-3:20
  3. Experience with Timeline JS (https://timeline.knightlab.com/) or willingness to learn Timeline
