Women and Science: Obstacles and Opportunities

Abstract: Historically women and people from ethnic minorities have been at a disadvantage in a variety of settings, including the competitive review process. Dr. Lucy Nowell, who has been a program manager/director for three Federal agencies, will join us for an informal dialogue to share experiences and strategies for overcoming implicit bias.

Note:  We will provide lunch. Please RSVP Dr. Elizabeth Whitaker at betty.whitaker@gtri.gatech.edu by noon on Wednesday April 20 so that we can plan the lunch order.
