The Week Ahead: April 11-15
Primary tabs
If you’re looking for something fun to do on campus this week, or just need a study break, here are a few upcoming events to check out.
Monday, April 11
When: 5:15 p.m.
Where: Harrison Square
What: In 2001, a concerned group of students, faculty, and staff noticed that the campus community did not have a way to collectively honor those it had lost. This led to the creation of a campus-wide remembrance ceremony, called When the Whistle Blows, to honor the memory of enrolled students and employees who had died during the previous year.
This year’s event will take place in Harrison Square with the lighting of a unity candle to represent the union of the entire Tech community. Each of the deceased will have a family member light an additional candle in their remembrance.
