SGA Inclusivity Conference hosted by the Cultural and Diversity Affairs Committee

Primary tabs

The idea for this conference stemmed from the Cultural and Diversity Affairs Committee of SGA (CDAC) noticing a lack of intersectionality on campus wherein each student organization is only involved with its respective organizations and only targets its members. We believe this does not help foster inclusion and deeper understanding of various student identities on campus, their struggles and perspectives. Thus, through this conference we aim to get student leaders to think about how their respective organizations have been exclusive or inclusive and specific strategies they can use to make their organizations inclusive in the coming semesters. We believe focusing on an issue specific to Georgia Tech will aid in fostering inclusion on campus and thus developing leaders who can go on to be inclusive in their future careers, which fosters a continued positive impact in society.

Students can RSVP two representatives from their organization at http://goo.gl/forms/jAQplC5L2N by Thursday, March 31.
