Bio
Portman Critic Brigitte Shim, FAIA, FRAIC is principal of Shim‐Sutcliffe Architects in Toronto Canada, and recipient of awards at the national and international level for the quality, inventiveness, and rigor of the firm’s work. She began her teaching career at the of Toronto’s Faculty of Architecture & Design in 1988, and is currently a tenured Associate Professor there, actively engaged in the life of the school. She is also an active member of the international design community, participating in numerous international, national and local design juries, helping to bring attention to exemplary design in many communities. In 2007, she was a member of the Aga Khan Architecture Award master jury.
