Primary tabs

(March 19, 2007) - A paper co-authored by College of Computing at Georgia Tech and Oak Ridge National Laboratory Joint Faculty Member Jeffrey Vetter titled "Using FPGA Devices to Accelerate Biomolecular Simulations" has been selected for the cover of Computer Magazine.

In the paper, the authors use a performance model to analyze the potential of simulating large-scale biological systems faster than many cluster-based supercomputing platforms.

Computer Magazine is the flagship publication if the IEEE Computer Society and has a hardcopy circulation of approximately 90,000 subscribers.

The paper is available to IEEE Digital Library Subscribers or can be purchased online: http://doi.ieeecomputersociety.org/10.1109/MC.2007.108
