School of Architecture Partnering on Projects in Midtown

Primary tabs

As part of our ongoing mission to engage with the future growth of Atlanta, the SoA is partnering on two new projects in Midtown. Faculty members Brian Bell and John Peponiswill lead an interdisciplinary research group to design and fabricate an interactive “Living Wall” in the lobby of the new NCR Headquarters on Spring Street. The SoA will also work with the Midtown Alliance, as part of their Greenprint Midtown Plan, to design and prototype an outdoor, energy generating “Eco-Living Room” to be located within the core of Midtown. Lead by faculty members Jude LeBlanc, Scott Marble and Russell Gentry the project will include seating, a place to gather and other functions and serve to raise public awareness of sustainable forms of energy. Both of these projects are also part of the SoA’s effort to realize Georgia Tech’s new Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) Serve-Learn-Sustain.
