Primary tabs

The Beta Mu chapter of Eta Kappa Nu (HKN) has been chosen for a 2014-2015 IEEE-HKN Outstanding Chapter Award. Eta Kappa Nu is the honor society for electrical engineering and computer engineering students.

This award recognizes IEEE-HKN chapters that excel in chapter administration and programmatic activities, and it will be presented on March 21, 2016 at the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department Heads Association Annual Conference, to be held in Torrey Pines, California.

The Georgia Tech HKN chapter was among 22 chapters recognized for their efforts to improve professional development, raise instructional and institutional standards, encourage scholarship and creativity, provide public service, and generally further the established goals of IEEE-HKN.

“This is a tremendous achievement for our HKN chapter and their advisor, Tom Gaylord,” said Steven W. McLaughlin, professor and Steve W. Chaddick School Chair.  “On behalf of the School, I’d like to thank them for their hard work and dedication to making ECE and Georgia Tech better places to be.”
