2008 INFORMS Honors ISyE Faculty and Graduate Students

Several faculty and students of the H. Milton Stewart School of Industrial and Systems Engineering (ISyE) were honored this year at the 2008 Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences (INFORMS) annual meeting held in October in Washington D.C.

INFORMS Fellow Award
Professor Jianjun "Jan" Shi
"For development of stream-of-variation theory and its contributions to quality improvements in manufacturing and other complex systems, and for leadership in education and the INFORMS community"

Erlang Prize
Professor Bert Zwart
The Erlang Prize is awarded every two years by the Applied Probability Society of INFORMS to honor a research scholar under the age of 36 who has contributed significantly to applied probability.
