Primary tabs

Brynn Runkle Conover, IE 1987, recently established a fund to assist four IE students with their education in honor of her father, Robert S. "Bob* Runkle, BS Building Construction 1960.

Following his graduation from Georgia Tech in 1960, Bob Runkle built a successful management career in public health, manufacturing, and environmental consulting, and published numerous technical papers along the way. According to Brynn, Bob's professional maxim * work hard, work efficiently, and work ethically - derives from the basis of his Georgia Tech education. His remarkable career is highlighted by his legacy of service, social activism and philanthropic efforts. In addition to raising a family, Runkle remains an active member of his Episcopal Church using his faith to motivate his work in noble causes ranging from desegregation in the 1960's to eradicating hunger in inner cities.

By providing this support, Brynn "ensures that a legacy of service being handed down from father to daughter will continue to shape the next generations of Georgia Tech graduates.*
