Places & Spaces: Mapping Science

The David J. Sencer CDC Museum is hosting an exciting new exhibit, Places & Spaces: Mapping Science, from January 25 –June 17, 2016 (see http://www.cdc.gov/museum/exhibits/mappingscience.htm).  As part of the launch of the exhibit, the CDC Office of Public Health Scientific Services and Thomson Reuters are hosting several kickoff events open to CDC staff and the general public: 

·         Inaugural Lecture: Data Visualizations - Drawing Actionable Insights from Data, Thursday, February 4, 2016, 5pm-6pm

·         Scientific Symposium:  Seeing for Action - Using Maps and Graphs to Protect the Public’s HealthFriday, February 5, 2016, 1:30pm-4:30pm

Both events will be held on the CDC headquarters campus in Auditorium A, CDC Tom Harkin Global Communications Center (Building 19) 1600 Clifton Road, NE, Atlanta, GA 30329-4027.

To attend, you must register for these events.  To register, please visithttp://goo.gl/forms/l6S59AqZrA and fill out the information requested.  To attend this event on the CDC campus, non-U.S. citizens (including permanent residents) must register by January 4, 2016 in order to have enough time for CDC to process their security clearance.
