President to Initiate Discussion Groups on Inclusiveness and Gender Equity at Tech

Primary tabs

President G.P. “Bud” Peterson has initiated multiple listening sessions with small groups of students, faculty, and staff to explore the issues of inclusiveness and gender equity at Georgia Tech.

Peterson has already met with one group and will be meeting with additional groups in the coming weeks to hear their thoughts and better understand the experiences and challenges unique to women at Georgia Tech. The information gathered will be used to develop specific actions that can be taken to continue to create a more welcoming environment for all people at Georgia Tech.

“We’ve seen spirited discussion around this topic, and I would like to continue the dialogue to continue our efforts to create a more inclusive campus environment,” Peterson said.

Representatives from each of the segments, faculty, staff and both undergraduate and graduate students, will be invited to participate in the conversations.
