Tech's Campus Nationally Recognized for Beauty and Environmental Stewardship

Primary tabs

Georgia Tech's campus has a reputation for beauty, order and cleanliness throughout the greater Atlanta area. Now we can be assured that we are also recognized on a national stage with the recent Green Star Honors award.

Associate Director of Landscape and Fleet Services Hyacinth Ide and his team has earned the Green Star Honor Award for Best Maintained Landscape in the University and College category by the Professional Grounds and Management Society. This program salutes grounds directors for maintaining a well-manicured landscape and brings national recognition to grounds maintained with a high degree of excellence.

"We are thankful to Mr. Ide and his sixty-three person Landscape Services team for their continuous dedication to maintaining beautiful grounds. Recognition by an esteemed organization such as PGMS is an honor," said Assistant Vice President of Facilities Management Mark Demyanek.
