NOISE, CHAOS AND SYNCHRONY: EXPERIMENTS ON REAL NETWORKS

Primary tabs

School of Physics Soft Condensed Matter & Biophysics Seminar: Prof. Rajarshi Roy, University of Maryland

How does chaos develop from noise in a dynamical system?  With progress in instrumentation and data acquisition techniques, one can observe the formation of a chaotic attractor, and the possibility of synchrony between multiple dynamical nodes connected in networks can now be studied in the laboratory. These networks can be designed and altered as desired.  Experiments and numerical modeling to test predictions.
