Kyungsoon Wang's research interests includethe impact of urban development and policies in housing markets. System. Her research on the impact of smart growth strategies on housing prices in metro Atlanta was awarded a research grant by the Housing Community Development Division of American Planning Association (APA) in spring 2010.
She currently works as a GIS assistant at Atlanta Regional Commission providing technical support in forecasting for 2040. Prior to joining Georgia Tech, Kyungsoon worked as a researcher at the Korea Institute for Industrial Economics and Trade (KIET) in Seoul, South Korea, and as a real estate consultant in the private sector. She also served as a research assistant in the Environmental Planning Institute (EPI) in the Seoul National University participating in several urban development projects.
Kyungsoon holds a master’s degree of urban design and planning from Seoul National University, a master's degree in City and Regional Planning from Georgia Tech, and bachelor’s degree of urban engineering from University of Seoul, South Korea.
