"GPCR-based Sensors for the Evolution of Chemical-producing Microbes"
Pamela Peralta-Yayha, Ph.D.
Assistant Professor
School of Chemistry & Biochemistry
Georgia Tech
Pamela Peralta-Yahya’s research group is developing foundational technologies to more effectively engineer biological systems for chemical synthesis. One area of research is the development of biosensors to screen chemical-producing microbes, which could identify strains that produce chemicals at industrially relevant yield. This technology has potential applications in the area of microbial synthesis of pharmaceuticals & microbial production of high energy density fuels.
