Prof. Lakshmi Sankar, Michelle Hall and Prof. JVR Prasad braved record heat in Atlanta on July 4 to run in the 2012 Peachtree Road Race.  The event had approximately 57,000 runners and was a spectacle worth seeing with patriotic costume wearers among the runners and enthusiastic cheering crowds lining the streets for the 6.2 mile course..

Prof. Sankar crossed the finish line in 1 hour and 15 minutes.  2012 marks his 21st consecutive Peachtree Road Race.  Prof. Sankar was inspired to begin running in the race by former College of Engineering Dean and then AE faculty member Don Giddens and AE Prof. Ben Zinn.

Michelle Hall, who ran the race for the first time this year, finished in 1 hour 40 minutes and 4 seconds.  Her bib number was 90611.  Michelle is a Financial Admin in AE's Business Office.
