During Georgia Tech’s Spring Break, Professors Tibor Besedes and Juan Moreno-Cruz traveled to Bali, Indonesia to participate in the Empirical Investigations in Trade and Investment Conference. The conference was hosted and sponsored by Keio University and the Economic Research Institute for ASEAN and East Asia (ERIA). Professor Besedes presented their joint paper, “Trade Integration and the Fragility of Trade Relationships: Theory and Empirics.” You can see his entire presentation here.

Also at the conference, Professors Besedes and Moreno-Cruz each discussed a paper presented by other participants, and Professor Besedes chaired a session. In early April, he presented the same paper at the Midwest International Economics Group meeting at Ohio State University.
