Faculty & Staff Wellness Hikes are beginner friendly three to five mile guided hikes conducted at a leisurely pace. These hikes are scheduled close to Atlanta so you can get up, get out, and get home before lunch on Saturday, and still have time for the rest of your busy weekend.

Sweetwater Creek State Park is only minutes from downtown Atlanta. Join us along wooded trails that follow a spirited stream to the ruins of the New Manchester Manufacturing Company, a textile mill burned during the Civil War. The trails climb rocky bluffs to provide views of beautiful rapids below and wind through fields and forest. Accompanying us on the hike will be a local naturalist to share details of the unique flora and fauna in the area, including: ferns, amphibians, wild azaleas and reptiles.
