Facilitating Discussions in STEM Classes - Part I

Classroom discussions are valuable for helping students in STEM fields reflect on their emerging understanding, make predictions and apply ideas and tools to analysis and problem solving as well as developing skills in collaboration, teamwork and effective leadership.  In this workshop, participants will examine the evidence for how discussions positively impact student learning and become familiar with several evidence-based techniques for facilitating discussions in STEM classes.
