Wesley Foundation Spring 2014 Programming

The Georgia Tech Wesley Foundation has several exciting programs planned for this spring.  The Wesley Foundaiton is located on the corner of 4th Street and Fowler Street across from Peters Parking Deck.  If you have any questions, please email wesley@gatech.edu.

 

Worship:

-Sunday Celebration, Sundays 11am: A traditional worship service in a location convenient to students. Breakfast is provided at 10:15 a.m..

-Jam and Bread, Tuesdays 6:30pm: A non-traditional communion service. Dinner is provided at 6:30 p.m. and the service starts at 7 p.m..

 

Small Group/Bible Study:

-Justice for the Poor, Mondays 4pm, January  - February 23: Learn what the Bible teaches about the poor and marginalized and discuss our responsibility today for bringing justice to the poor.

-Making Sense of the Bible, Tuesdays 11am: Using the book by Adam Hamilton, participate in a Bible study that won't insult your intelligence. Who decided what books would be included in the Bible? Is the Bible ever wrong? Were Adam and Eve real people? Discuss these questions and more! Bagels and drinks are provided.

-An Altar in the World, Wednesdays 3pm: Using the book by Barbara Brown Taylor: learn how to discover the sacred hidden in every day.

-A Year of Biblical Womanhood, Thursdays 7pm: Using the book by Rachel Held Evans,  learn what happens when a liberated woman decides to live by the Bible's instructions for women as literally as possible for a year. Discuss the meaning of "biblical womanhood" and its relevance or irrelevance to both men and women today
