ISyE Senior Design Team Finalists Announced at the Fall 2014 Georgia Tech Capstone Expo

ISyE Senior Design participated in the Georgia Tech Capstone Design Expo held December 5 at McCamish Pavilion. Out of the 170 participating teams from across campus, 24 were from ISyE. At the end of the Expo, four ISyE teams were selected as finalists to present their project at the ISyE Senior Design Competition on Wednesday, December 10, at 6:30pm in Klaus room 1443.  This year’s finalist includes the teams who worked on projects for the CDC, Emory (Winship), Interface, and UPS (Peak).

Capstone Design is a series of courses offered to undergraduate students from all disciplines at the Georgia Tech. Students work in teams to design, build, and test prototypes with real world applications.  At the end of each semester students showcase their efforts at the “Capstone Design Expo”, where teams display and pitch their inventions and marketability to a panel of judges, invited guest, media, and their peers.

Team members from ISyE's CDC Senior Design team are Nishi Anand, Dylan Buczek, Nicholas Buczek, Timothy Lin, Tanay Rajore, and Muriel Wacker. Their faculty advisor is William W. George Chair Pinar Keskinocak.

Team members from ISyE's Emory Winship Senior Design team are Sung Keun Baek, Xiaoyang Li, Allen Liu, James Micali, Ji Su Park, Mengnan Shen, Yunjie Sun, and Emilie Wurmser. Their faculty advisor is William W. George Chair Pinar Keskinocak..

 Team members from ISyE's Interface Senior Design Team are Andrew Bedenk, Kaitlyn Castaneira, Margaret Massey, Jonathan Porter, James Tanzy, and Andrew Taylor. Their faculty advisor is Associate Professor Marc Goetschalckx.

Team members from ISyE’s UPS (Peak) Senior Design teams are April Ahn, Jessica Dow, Lucas Onsgard, Jake Rice, Philip Tylman, Song Wang and Jongkwan Woo. Their advisor is Dean’s Professor Shabbir Ahmed.
