GT Computing 25/50 Anniversary Kickoff Party

Join Dean Zvi Galil and the entire GT Computing community in 2015 as we celebrate 25 years of the College of Computing and 50 years of computer science at Georgia Tech!

Our year-long celebration will begin on Friday, January 23rd with a kickoff party in the Klaus Building. Planned events for students, alumni, faculty and staff will be held throughout the day, including:

8-9:30 a.m. Breakfast for College of Computing faculty & staff

    • Enjoy a Waffle House breakfast with your colleagues & friends

11 a.m. - 1 p.m. Lunch for College of Computing undergraduate & graduate students

    • Join us for a fajita bar and the opportunity to network with other computing students

3-4:30 p.m. Birthday Cake Reception (open to all!)

    • Founding Dean Peter Freeman will deliver remarks on the College's history
    • Get your picture taken with the Ramblin' Wreck!
    • Sign the College's official birthday card!

6-8 p.m. Evening Reception for GT Computing alumni and invited guests (Stubbins Gallery, College of Architecture)

    • Take a tour through the history of wearable computing with pioneering professor Thad Starner           
    • Dean Zvi Galil gives a toast to the College of Computing

All attendees at any portion of the day will be invited to share their own thoughts and memories of GT Computing via video compilation.
