Primary tabs

Members from the Georgia Tech community who are responsible for hosting campus visitors, planning events within their current job function, or who are interested in the event industry, are encouraged to attend the Event Coordinators' Network's 6th Annual Workshop: Designing for Excellence.

Guest keynote speaker Matthew Redd, Director of Commencement and Special Events at Vanderbilt University, will discuss the key ways to organize, strategically communicate, and design excellent special events. During subsequent sessions, participants will have the opportunity to choose amongst several educational breakout sessions focused on floral design, negotiations and budgeting, a Georgia Tech event case study, design techniques, and a hands-on event scenario challenge. In addition to our educational sessions, the workshop will also give campus event planners a chance to meet and network with colleagues Institute-wide.

Visit Special Events & Protocol for additional information about the Event Coordinators' Network and a glimpse of the workshop agenda. Registration begins the September 29, 2014, and will close on Friday, November 7, 2014. RSVP soon to take advantage of our early bird rates.
