Georgia Tech’s Division of Student Affairs informed the Alpha Sigma chapter of the Kappa Alpha Order fraternity Monday that it has been placed on interim suspension, effective Sept. 22, pending the completion of an investigation into alleged violations of the Institute’s student code of conduct.

Kappa Alpha Order’s national office has also put the chapter on an interim status.

During a suspension, a chapter ceases any organizational activities, including all social and planned functions at its campus residence. The investigation, assigned to the Dean of Students’ Office of Student Integrity, is ongoing.
