CEISMC K.I.D.S. Instructor applications due

Primary tabs

Georgia Tech’s Center for Education Integrating, Science, Mathematics, and Computing (CEISMC) is looking for knowledgeable excited instructors for the 2014- 2015 K.I.D.S. Club meetings.

K.I.D.S. Club is a program in which hundreds of students in grades 2-5 visit the Georgia Tech campus on Saturdays to participate in hands-on science, technology, engineering or math (STEM) activities.  This program is designed to develop students’ interest and passion for STEM learning.

If you are interested in sharing your expertise and love of STEM concepts, and of course compensation for giving up your Saturday morning, CEISMC would love to have you participate in our program as an instructor.

Each year, dozens of GT faculty/students and metro K-12 teachers work with K.I.D.S. Club members to share their fascinating field of interest and help them better understand the world in which we live.  As an instructor, you will design your own (or use one of ours) 55 minute hands-on activity to share with club members. Last year the K.I.D.S. Club program reached almost 1200 K.I.D.S. The staff at CEISMC can help you shape your idea into a fun, interesting experience for students.

To apply, go to the instructor website for more details.  Deadline is September 6, 2014.

Dates are tentatively scheduled for:

2014 Fall: October 18 and November 8

2014 and 2015 Winter: December 6, 2014 and January 24, 2015

2015 Spring dates: February 21 and March 21
