Biomaterials Day

Known as the heart of the biosciences community, the Parker H. Petit Institute for Bioengineering & Bioscience at Georgia Tech serves as a catalyst for innovative bioengineering and bioscience research. Petit Institute investigators are working on next-generation biomaterial technologies that integrate synthetic materials with biological functionalities to create innovative biomaterials that interact with biological systems to elicit prescribed responses and tissue integration.

The meeting format will include plenary talks from guest lecturers, faculty talks from invited speakers, student talks, panel discussions, and a student poster session.

The goal of the meeting is to build and contribute to the regional biomaterials network by providing talks by dynamic rising stars in the area of biomaterials from invited lecturers and Georgia Tech faculty, highlighting student research, and building networking opportunities by inviting attendees from surrounding schools, industry, and government.

Students and faculty will also have the opportunity to network at the poster session and reception at the conclusion of the day.
